For a “Syfy original”, Roadkill is actually pretty decent. The set up is familiar - seven friends set off in a van for a holiday, encounter some hostile locals, and find themselves being picked off one by one - but it’s handled with humour and it’s also, for a Syfy movie, pretty gory. There’s one moment, in particular, which is so weird and gross it’s amazing they didn’t cut it out.
The film is, by necessity, structured around ad breaks, and features frequent recaps and predictably timed death scenes, but … you know, I’ve seen a lot worse.
